Cobi 2238 - River Patrol Boat Mk II

The Patrol Boat, River (also known as the PBR) was an American boat used for river patrol and transporting soldiers. Its fiberglass hull and water-jet propulsion enabled it to navigate at sea. The boat had a top speed of 28.5 knots (53 km/h 32 mph). The crew consisted of four enlisted men. A first-class officer typically served as the boat's captain, with a gunner, a mechanic, and a rating on board.

What they lacked ice armor, they made up for with considerable firepower. The equipment typically included a double-barreled 0.50 12.7 mm M2HB in the bow and a single-barreled M2HB in the stern. In addition, the crew had a grenade launcher and a set of M16 rifles at their disposal. More powerful configurations were also available. The boats were used by the US Navy until the 1990s. They are still popular with civilians.
