The USS Missouri (BB-63) is an American Iowa-class battleship, also known as the "Mighty Mo" or "Big Mo." It was the last battleship built by the United States. On September 2, 1945, the Imperial Japanese surrender was signed, officially ending World War II. The ship participated in the Battle of Iwo Jima and Okinawa, and in the Korean War. The USS Missouri was not decommissioned until 1992 and has since been open to the public as a museum ship.
